Internship Overview

During my 8-month co-op at Tesla, I worked on the Low Voltage Distribution team as a mechanical engineering intern. My main project was the full ownership of all Semi-Truck front end harnesses. I led project scope discussions, prototyped potential harness solutions, and developed harness CAD in Catia V6. I also designed and prototyped multiple connector back shells, utilizing ANSYS to validate flexure and living hinge viability. I was also the lead of two Model S and Model X indicator custom clips, where I designed, prototyped, and kicked off high volume tooling with suppliers.
